ACHS celebrated students who met or exceeded on their PSAT/SAT Spring 2024 assessment. Each student received a certificate and Jack Flash will be providing a pizza combo meal. In addition, the students who exceeded also received a $10 gift card from ACHS. Huge thank you to Jack Flash for partnering with us to recognize this academic achievement. Also, thank you to Molly Smith from Jack Flash for being here for the presentations.
Two seniors completed Mrs. Elam's goals bingo challenge. Congratulations to Tyler Ruffner and Noah Stanley. They each received a $50 Walmart gift card.
It's that time of year again! "Altamont Night" will be held in the ACHS gym on Saturday, November 16th. Team photos will run from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Festivities begin at 6:30pm. ACHS Sports Boosters will have hot dogs, taco-in-a-bag and baked goods for sale. We would like to recognize our Class of 1974 graduates, alumni girls basketball players and alumni cheer and dance athletes. Admission fee is canned food. See you all there!
Congratulations to seniors Grace Lemke and Makaylee Splechter for being named to the NTC All Conference volleyball teams! Grace was named to 1st team and Makaylee was named to 2nd. These are well deserved honors!

Mr. Zumbahlen's Computer Concepts classes are putting their Microsoft Excel knowledge to test by creating their own battleship game in Excel and playing against their classmates.
Soccer Regional Semi-finals! This Saturday, October 19th come support our ACHS Soccer team in their match against #3 Staunton. Game starts at 12:00pm, following the 10:00am (#2) Teutopolis/(#8) St. Anthony game. For tickets, you may purchase at the gate or online. The Altamont Boys Golf Team season has sadly come to an end Wednesday. The team shot a 398 at Meadowview Golf Course for the 2A Mattoon Regional. Hayden Summers led the team with a 92. Tyler Ruffner shot a 100, Joel Bauer shot a 102, Evan Elam shot a 104, Alex Walker shot a 107, and Charlie Goeckner shot a 117.

The Altamont Girls Golf Team season has sadly come to an end today. The team shot a 512 at Effingham Country Club for the 1A Effingham (St. Anthony) Regional. Sophia Pearcy led the team with a 109. Gabby Weishaar shot a 120, Cecilia Pearcy shot a 123, and Emma Sphar shot a 160.

After golf practice Monday evening, the Altamont Golf Team recognized six seniors. The seniors were recognized after golf practice since the senior night match last week was cancelled due to the weather.
