🩷🖤 PLAY FOR MAE 🖤🩷
Friday, October 2nd, our ACHS Soccer teams will take on Centralia at home — and this game will be about so much more than soccer.
We’re asking our Indian community to come out and PLAY FOR MAE. 🩷
Mae Buzzard is the one-year-old daughter of Michael and Mackenzie Buzzard. Mae has been diagnosed with Leigh Syndrome, a rare mitochondrial disease that can cause children to lose abilities such as walking, talking and swallowing. There is currently no cure, and Mae’s family is fighting for a chance at a groundbreaking gene therapy through Cure Mito’s “One Shot to Live” effort.
Mae's family is facing a fight no parent should ever have to face. And while we may be a small community, we know how to come together when one of our own needs us.
So Friday, we PLAY FOR MAE. 🩷
⚽ ACHS Soccer vs. Centralia
📅 Friday, October 2nd
⏰ 4:00 PM
📍 Altamont High School
🏟️ Varsity First — JV Follows
ALL admission money will go directly to Mae's family. We will also have a bake sale, with proceeds going to support Mae and her family.
Come out. Fill the stands. Cheer for our Indians. Grab something from the bake sale. Buy a 50/50 ticket. And most importantly, show the Buzzard family that they are not fighting this fight alone.
One little girl. One family. One community coming together to help.
Friday, we PLAY FOR MAE. 🩷🖤
We’re with you, Mae.
